Our Story
It All Started With “What’s That?”
It all started when she was five, sitting in kindergarten with a little tiffin of makhana (fox nuts) her mom had packed for recess.
To her, makhana was just…makhana. Something she’d grown up eating. Familiar, comforting and a little taste of home.
Until her teacher asked:
“What’s that?”
“It’s makhana,” she said.
Her teacher looked curious, so she did what felt obvious - she shared it.
One bite later:
“These are so good!”
Years later, after moving to the other side of the world, she started sharing makhana with people who had never tried it.
And the same thing happened every time:
“What’s that?”
“Try it.”
“Wait…these are actually SO good.”
That’s when she realized people didn’t need convincing to love makhana. They just needed someone to introduce them to it.
So she thought, why stop there?
Why not create snacks that make eating better genuinely exciting - delicious first, good-for-you second and never boring?
And that’s how Happy Pops was born.
Starting with the snack she grew up loving.
Makhana today. Who knows what’s popping tomorrow?🫶
